All children love to play at the edge of the water, to see little fish and frogs and the wonder of things that we as adults have not noticed for, time has stolen our patients and innocents. But a child takes your hand and through there expression and optimism can take you back, you will see the wonderful things that have long since been buried in your memory. Each and every child has that ability and the right to all that life has to experience. Each child is unique. You could have Ten children and no Two are the same, they may share some characteristics but each is there own irreplaceable individual and a wonder made in God's image. Please set aside your selfish character for the sake of your child. Yes you will loose sleep, change diapers, and have to love someone else more than you love yourself. If you choose to love this little miracle child you will not regret your choice and soon will shutter at the thought that you almost took the life of this beautiful little child, soon you will discover the most wonderful smile and laugh. A smile and laugh that is because You have made this helpless little person so happy and safe. You will read little books that teach values and lessons that will help them grow. The first day of school paints, colors, paste and pencils. Highschool graduation you know they will be gone soon, to college or military maybe a career. You are both proud and heavy hearted. You wonder if you have prepared them enough. You don't think so, what could you have done different. If only you had more time, if you could go back to when they were younger, to do it again but with the maturity and knowledge that you now have. They see in your face your concern and self judgement. Then they hug you and reassure you that you did great. You are the best mom a son or daughter could have ever wished for. Neither of you say anything for the lump in your throat and the tears in your eyes say it all. The love and bond that will last your whole life. But all that never happened, you choose to abort that little child.
